The recent signing of a key Dallas provider group expands in-network access to Averde members making high deductible plans more affordable and efficient for employers and consumer in Dallas.
West Hartford, CT – Averde Health, an innovative new healthplan for Consumer Directed Health Care (CDHC) which is rapidly expanding across several states and a growing number of Texas markets, announced today that it has strengthened its network in Dallas with the signing of Southwest Physicians Associates. The signing of this organization and the subsequent opt-in of individual providers will expand Averde’s network in Dallas by over 750 physicians and increase in-network access for Averde members. Averde, who specializes in high deductible, Consumer Directed medical plans for self-insured employers, launched the first-of-its-kind payment model in Colorado and Texas over a year ago and now lists over 20,000 physicians under contract.
Averde currently has other large Dallas hospital systems under contract and is steadily adding physicians and specialty practices in Dallas and other Texas markets namely San Antonio, Houston, Austin and Corpus Christi. “Deductibles for health coverage in Texas are among the highest in the country”, continued Policelli. “The Averde model solves problems for providers, employers and members that are inherent with high deductible plans.”
In the last 12 months, Averde has expanded their network model into several other states including Texas (San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi) and Florida (Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale) and has announced the recent signing of key hospital contracts in St. Louis and Virginia. Averde plans to be in several other states during 2011.
